Postnatal Planning Workshops
Have you considered writing a birth plan, but what about a postnatal plan?
Often, the focus is on the birth, but less thought is given to what happens afterward. While the birth is undoubtedly important, the postnatal period is equally crucial and lasts much longer.
Those early days can be tough, confusing, and overwhelming. Many parents tell me they didn't feel prepared for the reality of a newborn, but with a bit of preparation, this doesn't have to be the case.
You’ve probably thought about buying adorable outfits, a cot, and various baby essentials, but there’s so much more to consider. This includes your relationships, support network, emotions, and many choices and life style adjustments you’ll need to make for your family.
In the UK, there is a lack of postnatal support compared to other countries where much more importance is placed on the 'fourth trimester.'
This gap in support and the rise in rates of birth trauma are contributing to the high rates of postnatal depression and anxiety among new parents. This is why Kirstie has qualified as a life coach, trauma rewind specialist, and is training as a counsellor.
With some planning and preparation, you can work towards a happy, informed, and exciting postnatal period. Let's create some joyful memories of this special time!
During this workshop we will write a postnatal plan together, so you will be confident and excited as you step into parenthood, and you can leave the anxiety behind.
